Harry Cooke is a writer and actor based in New York City. After volunteering at the Sundance Film Festival in 2023 and 2024, he took Robert Redford’s call to be a “risk-taker” in the independent film circuit to heart, co-founding Camelback Films with David Ezell later that year—a production company with a focus on bringing stage actors to the screen.
Harry is an accomplished New York stage performer, with recent roles in Henry V, God of Carnage, and the recent revival of Resurrection, as well as appearances in short films including Who the F**k Is Kevin?, Intent of the Wolfman, and Park Slope Confidential. He is also a writer for the sketch comedy groups Fresh Out the Box and Armory Comedy, and contributes to the mystery and noir publication CrimeReads.com.
In addition to his creative work, Harry freelances as a script reader for the Christian film company Pinnacle Peak Pictures, and has held positions in corporate production and distribution at NBCUniversal and Disney Entertainment. With a strong background in both performance and business, he brings sharp creative instincts and industry insight to Camelback’s development slate.
David Ezell is a Manhattan-based writer, actor, and successful entrepreneur. His play The Great American Scream Machine was selected as one of the top twenty productions in the 2024 SOOP Playwriting Competition. Recognizing its cinematic potential, David partnered with lead actor Harry Cooke to adapt the work for the screen. In late 2024, they co-founded Camelback Films to bring the project to life and to launch a slate of psychologically rich, character-driven films. Drawing on his entrepreneurial experience, David brings a strategic, results-oriented approach to the company’s creative and business development.
